1. Brazil (South America)

Brazil is renowned for its diverse racial makeup, often referred to as a "melting pot" and a "racial paradise."


With a population exceeding 215 million, about 47% are White, 38.5% are mixed-race, and pure Black individuals make up around 6.2%.

Whites are mainly descendants of Portuguese immigrants and refugees from European conflicts, primarily concentrated in the southern and southeastern coastal regions.


Blacks and mixed-race individuals are descendants of African slaves brought by Portuguese colonizers starting from the 16th century to meet labor demands. Currently, there are approximately 96 million Afro-Brazilians, making Brazil the country with the largest Black population outside of Africa.


2. United States (North America)

The United States, also known as a nation of immigrants, has a population of around 330 million, with Native American Indians numbering only about 10 million.


The African American population in the United States is approximately 50 million, initially brought by European colonizers through the slave trade, mainly residing in the southern regions.

Following the end of the American Civil War, African Americans gradually moved away from plantations, currently comprising about 15% of the total U.S. population.


3. Haiti (North America)

Located in the Caribbean Sea, Haiti is a small nation within the West Indies and the first black-led country in the Americas.


Under Spanish and French rule, black people initiated independence wars in the late 18th century, becoming the dominant force in Haiti.


However, due to poor governance, Haiti has long been plagued by civil wars and hunger, with over 80% of the population living in extreme poverty.

Colombia, situated at the junction of North and South America, has a population of about 52 million.


Historically a Spanish colony, blacks and mixed-race individuals account for around 20%, mainly residing in the southwestern and western Pacific coast provinces, with a population exceeding 10 million.

As a diverse nation, France has been relatively accepting of immigrants.


A large number of African-descendant blacks have entered France, mainly from former colonial countries.


Currently, around 8 million Afro-descendant blacks live in France, comprising roughly 12% of the total population.

Black Population: Approximately 3.7 million


The United Kingdom was one of the major winners of the colonial era, possessing extensive colonies.


Currently, around 3.7 million Afro-descendant blacks live in the UK, primarily concentrated in cities like London and Birmingham.


7. Dominican Republic (North America)


Black Population: Approximately 3.5 million


The Dominican Republic, located on the island of Hispaniola, is one of the few countries in Central America where whites are the majority.


Of its approximately 11.5 million population, 70% are mixed-race and black, with the rest being white.


8. Jamaica (North America)

Jamaica is an island nation in the West Indies, once a central hub of slave trade in North America during the colonial period.


Currently, about 95% of the population is black and mixed-race.


9. Ecuador (South America)

Ecuador is an agricultural country with a population of about 18 million, with Afro-descendant blacks comprising roughly 7%.


Most reside in the Esmeraldas Province near Colombia.


10. Netherlands (Europe)


Black Population: Approximately 1 million


During the global colonial period, the Netherlands was primarily active in Southeast Asia and the Americas, with an increase in immigration in recent years.


Currently, around 1 million Afro-descendant blacks live in the Netherlands, accounting for about 5% of the total population.
