There is a saying that "every trade has its master," meaning that focusing and excelling in a specific field can lead to success.

However, some professions are indeed hard to describe and may be difficult for many to accept.

If someone offered you a high salary for the following jobs, would you accept?

Buttock Cleaner

Japanese culture, heavily influenced by China, has also developed unique elements, such as sumo wrestling.

In Japan, sumo wrestling is a highly popular sport, and sumo wrestlers enjoy the status of top celebrities.

The rules are simple: two large wrestlers push each other until one wins.

These wrestlers often weigh several hundred pounds, leading to practical difficulties, especially when it comes to cleaning themselves after using the toilet.

Hence, a unique profession has emerged in Japan: the buttock cleaner.

The name might sound nice, but the job is essentially cleaning the wrestlers' buttocks.

In other countries, this job might be very unpopular since, aside from children, hardly anyone would want to do this for someone else.

However, in Japan, the job is competitive. Sumo wrestlers earn tens of millions of yen annually and are generous with their cleaners, reportedly paying up to a million yen per year.

Would you accept an invitation to become a buttock cleaner?

Funeral Clothing Model

Chinese people often say "except for birth and death, there are no major events," showing respect and reverence for the deceased.

People generally avoid death-related matters, considering them unlucky. However, in China, there is a unique profession: funeral clothing model.

When we think of models, we typically imagine tall and sexy figures, but the image of a funeral clothing model is quite different.

As people bid farewell to this world, special occasions require someone to step up and model funeral clothes.

This job involves displaying the clothes that people will wear in their final moments.

Pet Food Taster

Some pet owners might out of curiosity taste their pet’s food, but making it a profession seems unbelievable.

However, the job of a pet food taster does exist. In the United States, pet food tasters regularly test new pet foods.

They use not only instruments but also their taste buds to assess the quality of the pet food. Tasters smell and then taste the food to determine if it is up to standard.

Despite the odd nature of the job, the salary is not low, with entry-level positions paying around $30,000 a year.

This job might seem more acceptable compared to the others mentioned.

In China, this profession is already emerging. Huang Lanxi, a student who studied in Australia, became a pet food taster after returning to China.

In 2019, she developed a pet milk tea that reduces the risk of kidney disease in cats.

Odor Tester

Among the unique professions, odor testers have a special role.

But why would someone specifically smell odors for a living?

Odor testers are crucial in several fields, especially in fighting pollution.

While instruments can only detect single odor concentrations, the human nose is the most sensitive to complex gas compositions.

Multiple odor testers are needed to evaluate samples from waste sites, as humans have subjective senses.

Based on the odor testers' evaluations, the gas is diluted until it is odorless.

These unusual professions demonstrate that every industry has its purpose and reasoning behind its existence.

Would you be willing to take on any of these jobs if offered a high salary?
