"If only I hadn't died in pain, that would have been great."

ree

I don't know when it started, but euthanasia is widely regarded as a means of allowing patients to peacefully pass away at the last moment before death, providing a relief for many people who have suffered from the torment of their illness.

In some foreign movies, some clips also mention that euthanasia has become the last resort for many people in critical condition.

ree

Do you know that euthanasia is strictly prohibited in our country, and do you really understand what euthanasia is? Or, in other words, how much truth do you know about euthanasia?

euthanasia

Until April 1, 2002, the world's first country to legalize euthanasia was born, which was the Netherlands. After another 20 years, only a few countries have legalized euthanasia, including Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and so on.

The methods of euthanasia are also divided into three types. The first is to give the patient sleeping pills, followed by injecting anesthesia after the patient falls asleep.

The second method is clotting agents, which may seem mild but patients may experience a long period of restlessness. The third method is relatively fast, which is the injection of cyanide.

Finally, this method can be said to have an immediate effect, as patients generally lose the characteristics of life in a very short period of time.

The question of whether or not to euthanize is not something that patients can accept with just one word of agreement, but rather requires a multi-faceted approach to the essence of the problem.

Those who support euthanasia have given their reasons, which are simply that death is inevitable, especially when encountering untreatable diseases, it will be the most deadly for patients.

Because facing the dual torment of physical and mental aspects, this is also why many people are eventually tormented to the point of collapse by their illness.

ree

Some people take the law as an example, as it does not prohibit one's right to choose death. A person has both the right to choose life and the right to choose death.

Moreover, for doctors, instead of spending a lot of time prolonging the lives of hopeless late stage patients, it is better to allocate this time to treat those patients who need more help.

Finally, from a family perspective, except for a few wealthy individuals, most of them are ordinary ordinary people. What we are most afraid of is that our family members will suddenly suffer from a serious illness, which will directly crush the entire family.

There are many examples of selling cars and houses to treat illnesses, but the biggest fear is that getting this disease cannot be cured, and in the end, one will end up with no money left.

So in their view, euthanasia is a very necessary means.

ree

But soon opponents also put forward their views. The first point is that although euthanasia may seem to provide a kind of liberation in the end, it is easy for criminals to exploit it.

Allowing some people to be forcibly euthanized without consent, as long as the injection is completed, it will be baseless. At that time, there will be no fewer cases of injustice, falsehood, and error. Only this point cannot make euthanasia legal.

And life is noble, and no one can deprive others of their lives in any form or for any reason. For example, when a patient is seriously ill and lying in bed, should their family decide their life or death with just one word of euthanasia?

ree

To put it bluntly, when a person is pushed onto a hospital bed and is able to decide life or death without sleep for others to decide, then this is a very terrifying thing.

For our country, filial piety is the top priority, and the main focus is on filial piety. However, euthanasia completely violates this theory.

Similarly, euthanasia can also be seen as a temptation of death to humans, as some patients still hold certain hopes for life.

And if actively treated in the future, there is also hope for recovery, and euthanasia is to tell everyone that they will give up on survival from the beginning.

As long as you choose the path of death, there is no way out. Once euthanasia is initiated, there is no chance of regret.

The reason why many people want to give up hope of life is largely due to the torment of their illness, and they still hope to live in their hearts.

ree

Euthanasia is invisibly a death notice issued to everyone.

Do you think countries that legalize euthanasia are good? Although Switzerland allows for the existence of euthanasia, about one-third of the population who undergo euthanasia every year is not voluntary.

In fact, in terms of morality and ethics, many family members have shown regret after accepting the method of euthanasia, because in a sense, it is they who have personally ended the hope of their family's survival.

ree

So from a moral perspective, it is very inhumane.

At present, euthanasia contains too many uncertain factors, including family ties, legal principles, money, morality, ethics, and pressure from public opinion.

So, under the influence of so many factors, the best way is to cancel the act of euthanasia, and I don't think anyone can come to a definite conclusion about whether euthanasia will be legalized in the future.

But no matter what, everyone needs to understand one thing, which is that life is born to experience this world. We must live our lives to the fullest, and only in this way can we not leave any regrets in our later years.
